Wine Designs

For another brief I will be focusing on Wine bottles,
this is a competition brief for Rose, titles Super Market Sweep,
Its asks for you to select a item in a shop that you would like to redesign for, and my selection is wine bottles.

I have been looking through alot of designs for wine bottles.
Not knowing there was as many possible designs, giving me the influence to try some more creative than a normal bottle label.

First example being a simple, slim label.
Nice piece of design, no flavour, you just simply assume by the colour pallet chosen.

Possibility of having a set of different flavours, each type of wine having its own style label, but works along side others, to work as a set.

More often than not wine bottles have a front label and a back label, this is showing a example of how you can still have both but produce them in totally different ways.

Different bottle shapes could be a factor of the design, working with the shape of the bottles,
using different techniques of design with different shaped bottles.

Designs different graphics to represent each bottle, maybe different flavours,
different graphics, colours, layout, but still being able to make out they are a set.

Existing wine bottles of the same company, layout and design completely different, but all still strong designs.

Once again a set, but a larger proportion.
Wide range of colours, each representing a difference in the wine.
Could be a good idea, making a much larger range of the wine and labels.

Simple and plain designs work really well and strong.
Nothing to much, so the viewers attention doesn't wonder.
Also a limited colour pallet of Black, White and a impact colour.

Designs running around the whole bottle as one large image.
Example below is a neat and simple design, combining images and typography,
and using a limited colour pallet.

A set of wine bottle focusing on images, 80's style designs.
Really like them as a set, none have the same image, typeface, or colours, but a viewer knows they are a set.

Unlike the design above these are a set of wine bottles, where the designer has kept the same label through out the range, with just minor differences, colour and wine flavour.

Wine bottle label size, could have it shorter than average and using the blank space and bottle to a designers advantage.

With ideas I have came along with so far, I have been thinking of designing a label of asitate stickers, with a viewers being about to see the liquid through the designed label.

Different way a approaching the label, this design having the designs rapping around the bottle with a night simple silhouette design.

When I cam across this design I like how they had used different comic strips.
Also sticking to a colour combination of white and black.

This was the first time I came across a idea like this,
using photographs, a fault is people wouldn't know what they where buying,
only if they had a supporting label at the back of the bottle telling the buy what it was.
